The Founder

Prakash Institutions, founded in 1952, were affiliated and recognized by the Department of Education,
Govt. of Gujarat. These institutions were catering education to girls only through vernacular (Gujarati) medium. They were run by Prakash Trust, a registered Educational Trust under the Charity Commissioner, Gujarat State.
The Trust and its founder trustee Late Shri. J. C. Shah, constantly felt the need of a co-education school with English as the medium of instruction having a higher, better and more scientific curriculum. To satisfy this need, the Trust decided to start a CBSE school and got its affiliation in 1969.
Prakash Higher Secondary School was thus started on March 1, 1971 at Ellis Bridge, Ahmedabad 380 006 and its regular academic session started on June 15, 1971. Since then, the school has been evolving into a full fledged educational institution known for its discipline, quality education and innovative activities and projects.
