What is essentially important for an educational institution – mainly for a ‘school’ catering education to its students aged +3 to 17 years,- is its Reason, Vision and Mission.

‘Prakash’ in its genesis was born for Girls Education in 1952. Its main aim was to provide sound academics to its students through co-curricular and extra curricular activities. In 1968 Prakash Trust – an educational Trust registered under Bombay Public Trust Act at Charity Commissioner’s office at Ahmedabad- decided to start a school affiliated to CBSE. Prakash Hr. Sec School was established on 1^st March 1971 – an English Medium, co educational school preparing students for All India Senior School Certificate Examination  and All India Secondary School Examination conducted by CBSE. Behind each and every thought and action, in Prakash the reason is its students – their all round development with special emphasis on sound academics, wide general knowledge and uncompromising discipline. The institution si lucky to have its very elderly, matured and educated Trustees as well as members of the School Managing Committee under whose visionary foresight the institution strives to justify the aims and object. Prakash has a vision to see its  students – the future of the Nation, a perfect citizen of the Nation, a responsible member of the community and a loving warmth to his family. The student will follow non violence in his way of life and will be highly objective – non absolutists in his thinking. This is the Mission of Prakash which us a Jain Minority educational institution. It has been certified as a minority educational institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, New Delhi.

Some of the outstanding features of Prakash are:

1. Its Parivar – Bhavana – We are a family. The family includes its students, Teachers, parents and Management
2. We want our students diligent and self reliant. We therefore, totally discourage private tuitions or coaching classes
3. An insistence on uncompromising discipline which distinguishes Prakash Students amongst others.
4. In all regards, be it academic, activities, celebrations or administrative process, we are Value Oriented
5. And, last but not least, we run the institution on non commercial with regards to fees. Perhaps the most reasonable amongst self financed CBSE Schools of Gujarat.

The secret of achieving lofty aims and noble values is restraining our ambition in be continued in running not a big school but a great school.

Quality of Education at all stages ——–  primary, secondary and higher secondary stages —   in a school is a very complex thing as it is not simply the Board’s result or winning the competitions but the sum total or the resultant end product of all its constituents, some of which we consciously attend to are as follows:-
