Aims and Objectives

Prakash Higher Secondary School was founded on 1st March 1971 to realize the 2nd dream of the founder.

It has following aims and objectives:
‘Prakash’ stands for truth, beauty and goodness. It inculcates the qualities of truth, beauty and goodness in students through the medium of education. It lays special emphasis on the development of all the normal qualities of life and thus aimS at the character building of students. Prakash institution, including Higher Secondary School are founded with definite aims of spreading aesthetic and spiritual values of human life through the education of the student. It also concentrates at the physical, mental, cultural and spiritual development of student.

In continuation to the above mentioned aims and objectives our special endeavours are:

• To maintain high standard of education
• To pay individual attention to module the pupils with courageous minds and soft hearts, to make each one good and intelligent
• To introduce the ‘guru shishya’ attitude which would create an intimacy in the relation between the teacher and the taught
• To allow full scope for the development of personality so as to facilitate specialization through suitable creative work
• To provide training in leadership
• To inculcate dignity of labour
• To nurture a sense of civic, social and moral responsibility
• To introduce the literature, history and culture of our mother land

Recognition and Affiliation 

The institution is recognized and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi, and is run on parallel lines with the Kendriya Vidyalaya run by the Central School Organization (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, New Delhi. The school also stands affiliated for the +2 stage i.e. XI and XII. Provision of diversified courses in Arts, Commerce and Science group is made. At present this is a full fledged school from K.G. and I to XII having in all 40 classes.

The school prepares Boys and Girls for the All India Secondary School Examination (at the end of class X) Which will be currently optional i.e. only those who wish will have board Examination otherwise school will conduct the class X examination and the assessment as well as the result will be as per CBSE’s guidelines and All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi through English as the medium of instruction.
